QUICK OPENING CLOSURE

Quick Opening closures (QOCs) are ideal for pipeline, pressure vessel, pig trap, filter and filtration system and manway access applications. Since QOCs are designed to provide rapid and safe access and to ensure perfect tightness, they mainly replace the classic blind flanges for their ease of use and give the opportunity to the customer to speed up the opening / closing of the vessel; for this reason, although they are individually designed, they follow the application range of ASME B 16.5.

PGI's Quick Opening closures are designed to meet a simple criteria to provide a simple design incorporating an improved locking arrangement, permitting operation of any size closure in minutes and integral safety to prevent unsafe operation. QOCs can be manufactured in diameters from 4" to 48" and ANSI classes of 150 to 2500 on most sizes with state-of-the-art manufacturing, outstanding engineering, superior quality control procedures and complete service after the sale.

QOCs can be manufactured from ring rolled forgings (SA105 / SA 350LF2 etc.) that permit larger closure designs and are not limited to standard diameters. Closures can be designed for the customer’s exact operating requirements, rather than using the (often heavier than required) ANSI series flanges. Stainless steel material design is also possible.

Seals used can be supplied in NBR and VITON with shore hardness of any class.
