HIGH INTEGRITY PRESSURE PROTECTION SYSTEMS

The High Integrity Pressure Protection System is a sophisticated, safety instrumented system for pressurized vessels or stations in plants, which PGI designs and manufactures in-house.

Such systems are sometimes requested where use of a pressure relief device is either impractical or simply not permitted, due to environmental reasons. The HIPPS design ensures that the high-pressure source of the fluid shut down before the design pressure of the local system is surpassed. In design pressure of the local system is surpassed. In design and production, PGI fully complies with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.
